The work began with planning — creating user scenarios and page prototypes. The proposed website concept was originally based on the principles of responsive design, and all further decisions were made with this in mind.
The website pages adapt to three main screen resolution ranges: desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
Depending on screen resolution, the number and scale of interface elements change, significantly improving usability without compromising functionality. Graphic elements were specifically designed for high-resolution displays and maintain their quality across devices.
The board became both user-friendly and informative thanks to close collaboration with the client’s IT department.
Key roles are also played by the visual presentation of current offers and a quick-access panel for services. It’s worth noting that the online flight board, flight schedule, and route map are integrated with the airport’s internal data systems. On our side, we developed and implemented proprietary directories of airports and airlines.
For the airport terminals, we developed detailed static maps, which will later be turned into interactive ones after terminal renovations are completed.
As a result, the client decided to adopt the same website approach for 18 more airports across Russia.
